ā′kwa-tint, n. a mode of etching on copper, by which imitations are produced of drawings in Indian ink, .—also Aquatint′a .— v.t. and v.i. A′quatint , to engrave in aquatint. [It. acqua tint a —L. aqua , water, and tingĕre , tinctum , to wet, to colour.]
