(-těn's hun.) [From L. extenso, a lengthening.] (Com.) An engagement on the part ofa creditor to give his debtor further time in which to liquidate his debt. (Phys.) E., or magnitude, is the property in virtue of which every body occupies a limited portion of space. [s. 351]
