Pay Sergeant

In the British service, a sergeant who, on the responsibility of the captain of a troop, battery or company, keeps the men's accounts. "P" Bomb. — A can of phosphorus that explodes and tbrowi chunks of white-hot phosphorus around. This sets fire to wood work, burns men badly and the fumes make it impo ible to stay in the dug out. A "P" bomb is about twice as large as a Mills No. 5, and not much heavier and is very efficient where it is impracticable to carry the much heavier and more bulky mobile charge.
