faynt,a.weak; feeble;enfeebled with exhaustion; inclined to swoon; not bright or vivid; not loud; not striking; cowardly; not vigorous; not active; dejected; depre ed: v.n. to become feeble; to lose strength and colour and become sensele and motionle ; to swoon; to lose courage or spirit; to decay; to vanish (Fr. feint, unreal, L. van us, empty). Faintly,faynt'-le,ad. in a feeble manner. Faintne , faynt'-nes, 8. the state of being faint.
