To i ue, as to utter (i ue) a check, bill of exchange (draft) or promi ory note. The word utter, however, is generally used in connection with the i uance of a forged instrument (as a forged check, bill of exchange or draft, promi ory note, etc.) or with the i uance of counterfeit money.
