A tetragonal mineral occurring in square tables or plates with beveled edges, occasionally in square octahedrons; cleavage, basal, micaceous. Hardne , 2-2-5; specific gravity, 3-4-3-6; luster of cleavage faces, pearly, of others, sub-resinous; color and streak, various shades of green; transparent to sub translucent. Composition: A hydrated phosphate of the sesquioxide of uranium and protoxide of copper. The finest varieties of this mineral have been hitherto found in the mines of Cornwall. 2.
