A portable machine, commonly called a jaeksorew, variously constructed, for exerting great pre ure, and lifting 01 moving guns or heavy bodies through small distances; also pompoint or quilted tunic, made of leather and well padded. It was worn by foot-soldiers in the 14th century, written jaque.
