(kwod’rant) [L. qua’drans quarter]. 1. One-quarter of a circle; that portion of the circumference of a circle that subtends an angle of go°. 2. Any one of four corresponding or quarters, as of the abdominal surface. Wilder’s q., an area on the ventral surface of the cerebral crus of a cat.
