Calceolaria

(kāl-se-o-lā're-ah.) (Bot.) A gen. of beautiful herbaceous or shrubby plants, O. Scrophulariacex, with yellow, orange, or purple flowers, the lower half of which is shaped somewhat like an old-fashioned slipper. [s. 130]
