(nŭngk de-mit'tis.) (L., now let test thou depart.] (Eccl.) The name under which is known, in the compline office of the Rom. Cath. breviary, the canticle of Simeon (Luke ii. 29-32). In the Anglican Church, it follows the second le on in the evening service. [s. 654]
