Alfuru dialects of Menado in Celebes. ⁂ Mr. De Clercq distinguishes eight dialects, viz.: Bantik , Bentenan , Ponosakan , Toumbulu , Toumpakewa , To und a no , Touns a wang , and Tounsea , all of which differ so considerably that some scholars hold them to be distinct languages. They are spoken by about one hundred and twenty you sand people in the aggregate.     P. J. V.
