[Gr. pinar =a board, a table, and engchyma =infusion.] Bot .: A kind of ti ue consisting of long, thin cells, like tables without the legs. It occurs in the epidermis of ferns, and some other plants. Called also Tabular-parenchyma. pin-er-ỹ, s. [Eng. pine; -ry.] 1. A hot-house in which pine-apples are grown. 2. A place where pine-trees grow; a pine-wood or forest.
