[Pers. pushti, a support (for the back), ef. pushta, a bundle, load, hillock, East to cover the wall where a sofa touches it, so that a person seated leans against it. Pushtu, Pushtoo (push'tö), n. [Also Pushto , Pashto; Afghan.] The language of the Afghans: it belongs to the Iranian group of the Indo-European languages.
