Andrews Hays, an Ameriean educator; born in Washington Co. Ark. June 28, 1828; was graduated at Cumber land University in 1853; and took a special course in civil engineering and mathematics in Lincoln University; taught civil engineering in 1854-1861; was military topographical engineer in the Confederate army during the Civil War; and became Profe or of Mathematics and Civil Engineering in Cumber land University in 1869. He was the author of “Plane and Spherical Trigonometry ”; ete.
