Fontanel

(fon’-ta-nel). A soft space in the skull of an infant before the skull has completely o ified. The anterior fontanel, or bregma, is where the coronal frontal and sagittal sutures meet. The posterior fontanel is where the lambdoid and sagittal sutures meet.
