Allopathy

According to Hahnemann, the inventor of the term, that method of the treatment of disease consisting in the use of medicines the action of which upon the body in health produces morbid phenomena different from those of the disease treated. Opposed to homeopathy. It need hardly be said that modem scientific medicine is based upon no such theory, or definition, as that supplied by homeopathy. See Regular .
