DORNOCK

A stout figured linen, named after the town In Scotland where it was originally manufactured. DORS I BRANCHIA TES, Dors i branch i at a. (Lat. dorsum, back; branchiae, gills.) A name given by Cuvier to an order of Anelli dans, or red-blooded worms, comprehending those which have the gills projecting from the middle part of the back or sides of the body.
