Ammodytina (am"oditina)

pl. [NL., ammocete, n. See ammocæte. ammochryse (am'ō-kris), n. [L. ammochry- sus , άμμος , sand (see ammite), + χρυσός , gold: see chrysolite , etc.] A soft yellow stone, found in Germany, consisting of glo y yellow particles. When rubbed or ground it has been used to strew over fresh writing to prevent ammodytoid (am-o-dī'toid), a. and n. I. a. blotting.
