ptenopleural (tenoploʻral)

[ of ferns. write. In bot., a description o Pteriidæ (te-ri'i-dē), n. pl. [NL., one another. The squamosal is usually cut off from the frontal by a short line of sphenoparietal articulation, where the lower anterior corner of the parietal joins tip of the ali sphenoid; but in some cases this line is reduced to nothing, and then the frontal and squamosal come into contact. See cut under craniometry. In the region of the pterion in the male, the squamosal articulates with the frontal on the right side for a space Anthropological Jour., XVIII. 7. of 4 mm.
