AGNOSTUS

(Yunanca köken — orijinale bakınız.) A name de vised to expre the obscure nature of a genus of trilobites (fo il crustaceans), to which it is attached; the genus is characterised by the semicircular or reniform shape of the body, which in all other trilobites is ovate or elliptical. [s. 36]
