Ruins of the Flavian amphitheater at Rome, begun by Vespas i an, consecrated by Titus 80, and finished by IMG:content-0936.jpg:[graphic][merged small] Domitian; elliptical in form; 620 ft. long by 513 broad, and 160 high. It could seat 87,000 spectators. See AMPHITHEATER.
