Valley, 1823; Catalogue of Plants, 1829; Report, 1835–41; Religion of Geology, 1851; Ichnology of New England, 1858-65.-His son. EDWARD, M.D., b. 1828, became Prof. of Hygiene at Amherst 1861. Anatomy and Physiology, 1852. His brother, CHARLES HENRY, b. 1836, Prof. of Geology at Dart mouth from 1869, was State Geologist of Me. 1861-62 and N. H. 1868-72.
