[As tristig mat - ic + -ose.] In bot., same as tri stigmatic. trist it i a tet (tris-tish'i-at), v. t. [L. trist it i a, sadne (see triste e ), + -ate2.] To make sad; sadden. Nor is there any whom calamity doth so much trist it i ate as that he never sees the flashes of some warming joy. Feltham, Resolves, i. 41. Tristoma (tris'tō-mä), n. [NL. (Cuvier, 1817), also Tristomum (Siebold, 1838), 6490 pl. tristomæ (-mē) or tri stomas (-mäz).] A worm of the above genus.
