[O. Fr. fabler, fable or.] A writer or spreader of fables; one who deals in fiction; a fable-monger. fab-li-au (auasō) ( pl . fab-li-aux, aux as ō), 8. [Fr., dim. of fable .] A metrical tale composed by the Trouvères or poets of the Langue d'Oil in the twelfth or thirteenth centuries.
