Its fine sand, according to tradition, first led the Phenic i ans to the invention of gla , Belus, Temple of, an enormous temple in ancient Babylon, rebuilt by Nebuchadnezzar, about 604 B. c. Its site is thought, by some authorities, to be the modern Bers-Nimrud, and by others, Babil.
