Lepidodendreæ

Order of extinct Pteridophyta, apparently related to the modern club mo es, but perhaps more closely to the Selaginellaceæ. They formed forest trees in the IMG:content-1067.png:[graphic] IMG:content-1068.jpg:[graphic][merged small] also called panther and pard. The name was first given to the cheetah. See FELIDÆ.
