(nāv.) (From A. S. cna per, a servant-boy.] (Games.) In Playing-Cards, that one of a court-suit which has the figure of a soldier or servant painted on its face: it is familiarly called the jack; thus, the knave (or jack) of diamonds. [s. 517]
