(sī-be're-ah,) a country of Asia, comprehending the principal Asiatic part of the Ru ian empire. It extends 3,500 m. from E. to W., and 1,200 from N. to S., embracing a fourth part of the Asiatic continent, bet. Lat. 45° and 78° N., and Lon. 60° E. and 170° W., having N. the Arctic Ocean, E. the Sea of Kamtschatka and the N. Pacific Ocean, S. the Sea of Okhotsk, China, and Independent Tartary, and W.
