The proce of tempering steel with oil. See temper. oil-tester (oil'tester), n. 1. A machine for testing the lubricating properties of oils.-2. A proce or an apparatus for ascertaining the temperature at which the vapors from mineral oils will take fire. ointment pour.) In Gr. antiq., a small vase of graceful shape, with a three-lobed rim, the central lobe forming a mouth adapted for pouring, and a single handle reaching above the rim: used for dipping wine from the crater and filling drinking-cups.
