One who deals in all the articles of daily use, instead of confining himself to one particular branch of trade. general-demurrer, s. Law: [DEMURRER.] general-i ue, s. Law : An i ue which traverses and denies at once the whole declaration, without offering any special matter whereby to evade it. "As in trespa , non culpabilis , not guilty; in debt upon contract, nunquam in debit at us , that he never was indebted; in debt on bond, non est factum , it is not his deed; on an a umpsit, non a umpsit , he made no such promise: or in an action on a warranty, that he did not warrant, or on an agreement, that he did not agree.
