per-kush'un,?i. Act of striking one body against another; forcible collision, esp. such as give's a sound or report: the effect of violent collision; bratory shock. (JJed.) Act of determining the dition of an internal organ by the sound given when the external surface is gently knocked upon. — cu ion cap. A =. -^ tP^Ss small copper cap or cup, containing fulminating powder, and used in a percus ion-lock to explode gunpowder. — P.-lock. A lock of a gun in which gunpowder is exploded by fire from the percu ion of fulminating powder.
