Nephelium litchi. Small tree of the natural family Sapindaceæ, native of China, bearing globular, rough-shelled fruits an inch or more in diameter, inclosing a sub-acid jelly Species of Lithistidæ. or coral-like. The spicules are quadri-radiate, with irregular branches that interlock with neighboring spicules. They live in the deeper ocean.
