[G. ketos, a whale.] (U.S. and Br.) Spermaceti, a peculiar concrete fatty substance, consisting chiefly of cet in (cetyl palmitate), obtained from the head of the sperm whale, Physeter macrocephalus, used in the preparation of cold cream.
