(-te're-or.) [L.] (Geog.) The minor or inland part of a country or state. (Pol.) The home dept. of the executive, or that which has exclusive control over the internal affairs or domestic polity of such state or country; thus, in the U. States, we have the Secretary of State for the Interior. - INTERIOR ANGLE. (Geom.) The angle of a polygon formed by two adjacent sides, and contained within it. [s. 488]
