cayote (kayote)

Same as coyote. caytivet, a. and n. An obsolete form of caitiff. cayuse (ki-ūs'), n. [Amer. Ind. name.] A pony or small horse; specifically, an Indian pony of the peculiar breed formerly in use among the Cayuse Indians of the northern Rocky Mountains. [Northwestern U.
