SAVORY

or Summer Savory, 2 small, hardy, annual herb, erect in character, with strong, agreeably aromatic smell and flavor. Its smooth leaves are in common use, hoth fresh and dried, for flavoring soups, dre ings, ete. Dried savory is retailed both Joose and in cans and bottles. Winter, or Mountain, Savory is similarly used, but it is of a different species - perennial and low growing.
