An a emblage of plating forming a screen, fitted in a stoke-hold, to prevent the entering of cold air striking the boilers suddenly. (") Stoke-hold-bulkhead. — Engine-room-forward-bulkhead. The one separating the boiler-space from the adjacent cargo department, or from a thwartship-coal-bunker. Except in awning-, or shelter-deck-ve els it usually extends to the upper-deck, in spar-deck-ships to the spar-deck. See Plates 34 A. 19 & 43. io.
