PROCTOR

(Lat. procurator.) In Ecclesiastical Law, he who undertakes for his fee to manage a cause in the ecclesiastical or civil court, being duly admitted under 53 G. 3, c. 127, exercising the same office which is performed by attorneys and solicitors in courts of common law and equity. [s. 1006]
