[NIGGED-ASHLAR.] *nidg-er-ý, subst. [O. Fr. nigerie .] A trifle; a piece of foolery. *nidġ-ět, s . [O. Fr. niger ="to trifle; to play the fop or nidget." ( Cotgrave .)] 1. An idiot, a fool. 2. A coward; a mean or poor-spirited fellow. (See example s. v. NIDING.)
