McClellan, George Brinton

Pa., 1826-1885. Son of G. McClellan, supra. A distinguished soldier, general-in-chief of the armies of the United States, 1861-62; an unsucce ful candidate for the presidency in 1864; governor of New Jersey, 1878-81.
