[ salt of cyanic acid. dr( ogen ) +-ic.] In chem., hydrocyanic; pru ic. cyanic (si-an'ik), a. [ xanthic series, on the other hand, pa es from yellow through orange to red. The variations in color of any flower are in general confined to one of these series. 2. Pertaining to or containing cyanogen.-Cyanic acid, a compound of cyanogen and oxygen (CNHỎ), which is a strong acid, but unstable except at low temperatures.
