Hochschule, Berlin; 1882, Pres. ‘‘Meisterschule fiir musikalische Komposition”; composed 3 overtures ‘‘Zu einem Trauerspiel (Romeo and Juliet)” ‘‘Pro me the us,” ‘‘Medea”’; a symphony; 2 psalms for chorus and orchestra; pf.pcs. etc. Bar’ker, Chas. Spackmann, b. Bath, 1806—Maid stone, 1879; organ builder; invented the pneumatic lever.
