quintole (kwintol)

[ quintuple (kwin'tū-pl), a. [= F. quintuple = Sp. quintuplo = Pg. It. quintuplo, quint us, fifth, + plicare, fold.] 1. Fivefold; containing five times the number or amount. Owing this name not only unto the quintuple number of trees, but the figure declaring that number. Sir T. Browne, Garden of Cyrus, i. 2. In bot., divided or arranged by a rule of five; fivefold.
