(Edward Arthur), M.D., eldest son of Junius Hardwicke , F.R.C.S., of Rother ham, Yorks. In ’75 he qualified as a surveyor , and in ’86 as a physician. For twelve years he was Surgeon Superintendent of the Government Emigration Service. He is an Agnostic of the school of Herbert Spencer, and has contributed to Free thought and scientific periodicals.
