Va., 1868-69; since 1870 in Dick in son College (profe or of ancient languages and literature, 1870-79; since 1879, of Greek and Hebrew). He is the author of A Journey to Egypt and the Holy Land, Philadelphia, 1872 Lntroduction to the Study of the Holy Scriptures, New York, 1878, 4th ed., greatly enlarged, 1884 (this work is part of the course of study for the itinerant ministers of the Methodist-Episcopal Church during the first four years of their ministry).
