Any veil or veillike organ. anterior v., superior v., the valve of Vieu ens. artificial v., an appliance, generally composed of vulcanite, used in the mechanic treatment of fi ure of the soft palate. Baker's v., an obturator used in cleft-palate. inferior or posterior medullary v., the commi ure of the flocculi of the cerebellar hemisphere, forming part of the floor of the fourth ventricle. v. interpos’‘itum, the membranous roof of the third ventricle. v. medulla’re ante’rius. See Vicu ens’s valve. v. medulla’re post i’cum, a thin white lamina in front of the nodule of the vermis of the cerebellum, and forming a part of the roof of the fourth ventricle; the valve of Tarinus. v. pal a’ti, the soft palate. v. pen’dulum pal a’ti, the pendulous and posterior portion of the soft ‘palate; the uvula_or pendulum of the palate. v. of Tari‘nus, the inferior or posterior medullary velum.
