[Greek gaster = the belly; Lat. loquor = to speak, and Eng. suff. -ist.] A ventriloquist (q. v.). *găs-tril-o-quoŭs, a . [Gr. gaster = the belly; Lat. loquor =to speak, and Eng. suff. -ous.] Speaking or seeming to speak in the belly; ventriloquous. găs-tril-o-quỹ, s . [GASTRILOQUOUS.] The act or art of speaking in the belly; ventriloquism. *găs-tri-marg-ism, s. [Gr. gastrimargos =insatiable; Eng. suff. -ism .] A preternaturally raven ous appetite.
