Fibrinogen

(fi-brin'-o-jen). A native proteid of the globulin cla , obtained from blood-plasma, serous transudations, etc. According to Schmidt it is one of the chief elements in the formation of fibrin (the other being Para globulin), which occurs di olved in the plasma, aided by a fibrin-ferment.
