The root of Orontium aquaticum is acrid when fresh, but eatable when dry. ō-rō-pi-on, s. [Pref. oro- (1), and Gr. pion =fat; Ger. bergseife =mountain-soap.1 Min.: A variety of bole of a dark-brown to black color; feel, greasy. Found at Olkutsch, in Poland. Dana refers it to the species Halloysite (q. v.).
