Truss-hoop

Fitted one on each side the sling-hoop of a yard, to these the arms of the tru are connected. See Plates 89 C. 5 & 90 H. 1. The term is also given to the hoop round a lower-mast to which the tru is connected by means of a swivel-bolt. See Plate 89 A e A C. 5.
